GCPEJ: August 13 - 15, 2011

 

A peace education meeting will be held at the National Women's Education (NWEC) in Saitama from August 13 - 15, 2011.

Theme: Creating a Culture of Peace at a Critical moment: The capacity of education for people's empowerment 

 

The participants will meet at Tobu Ikebukuro Station, the 1st floowr, South exit at 1.00pm on August 13 and travel together to the Maruki A-bomb gallery, arriving at the NWEC in the evening.

 

Fee: 9,000 yen (includes two nights accommodation: meals are not included), 5,000 yen (one night), 2,000 yen (one day).

We apologize for the postponement of IIPE. The Japanese team are now considering a new venue in Kansai or the Southern part of Japan. Although IIPE has been postponed, we are planning to hold a shorter event organised by the Global Campaign for Peace Education in Japan (GCPEJ). We hope those who are based in Japan will come and share the experiences. 

 

For those who do not wish to give a presentation, registration will be open until the 20th of July. We will encourage presentations by participants and will arrange  a schedule. Please post the tittle of your presentation and the summary (300 letter in Japanese or 100 words in English) before the end of June.
